Information

Ordering
It is important to order your cake as early as possible to ensure that your cake is ready in good time for the occasion. We require at least 5 days notice for our novelty cakes and 14 days notice on our fruit cakes.
Please check you have all the correct information for your inscription and portion amounts before placing an order.
We require a deposit of 50% on all orders, the balance is to be paid upon collection or via bank transfer upon notification that your order is ready to collect. Once an order has been processed the deposit is non-refundable.

Payment

We accept cash, cheques and payments made using a bank transfer.
All required payments must be processed before the cake can be started. The full price of your order must be confirmed before a cash payment or bank transfer can be made.

Cake tasting appointments
Cake tasting consultations are by appointment only and can be arranged by contacting enquiries@helens-cakes.com or call us on either 020 8422 4447 or 07870 951518.

Allergies
We offer nut-free, egg-free, alcohol-free and gluten-free cakes on request.

Use of non-edible decorations on cake
Occasionally, non-edible materials are used on a cake such as brooches, feathers, diamante etc. Non-edible materials must be removed before consumption of the cake. It is the clients responsibility to inform the venue/caterers of their removal.

Collection
Once you have placed your order, we will give you the date when your cake will be finished and call you to confirm that it is ready to collect. We can then arrange a time that is best suited for collection.
Once you have collected the cake, we recommend you keep your cake refrigerated until a couple of hours before the event.
Please note: -
If a cake is being collected, we cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur to the cake after it has left our premises and is out of our care.

Images
Images and photographs are used for illustrative purposes only.
If you feel any of these images, violate or infringe your copyright, please get in touch with us at enquiries@helens-cakes.com, with details of your held copyright and of the image in question. We will remove any images that infringe copyright.

Delivery
Delivery can be arranged whilst placing your order. The cost of delivery will vary depending on the distance involved. If you think you will need to have your cake delivered then please talk to us when you call for your initial quote.
Once your cake has been delivered we take a photograph to show it in its final condition at the venue.
We cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur to a cake after it has left our care.
Please be aware, if the temperature of the venue becomes too hot or the cake is left in direct sunlight over a prelonged period of time then it may cause damage to your cake. To avoid any problems please try and keep your cake in a cool and safe area until the wedding or reception begins.

Design Alterations
You can alter the design of your cake up to 1 month before the collection or delivery. Any increase in cost that may arise from the alteration will be charged accordingly.
